I was born and raised in Brooklyn, N.Y. I grew up on the beach and miss being by the ocean. I then moved to Loveland 16 years ago and was fortunate enough to attend Colorado State University and earn my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work. As a licensed therapist for over a decade, I love having the opportunity to help people therapeutically in different ways.
Over the years I’ve worked with many different people with different issues and backgrounds. I specialize in working with children, adolescents, adults and older adults. I am an advocate and try to give a voice to those who feel unheard. I also specialize working with various mental health and substance abuse issues. I am formally trained in substance abuse assessment and treatment, trauma informed care (using Cognitive Behavioral (let’s change those negative behaviors and thoughts) and Dialectical Behavior (let’s focus on regulating those emotions) therapies.
Another therapy I specialize in is EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to help those who have experienced trauma. I’m also formally trained in domestic violence assessment and treatment. I’ve really enjoyed working primarily with children and teens for a few years. I love running groups and tend to have fun in sessions. I’m easy going and easy to talk to. No judgement here. Never. I’d love the chance to guide you through your life experiences and help you improve yourself and the quality of your life.
