Marline’s journey into nurturing young minds began as a Head Start teacher, and with her A.A.S in Early Childhood Professions. Over a rewarding 15-year span, Marline devoted herself to the Migrant Head Start program in the beautiful San Luis Valley of Colorado.
In 2010, a new chapter unfolded in Phoenix, AZ, where she embraced diverse roles such as a home visitor, an Early Head Start teacher, and a domestic violence advocate. Additionally, Marline served as an assessor for First Things First, immersing herself in various facets of child development.
This diverse experience fueled her commitment to comprehending the nuances of child psychology, leading her to earn a BA in Psychology with a concentration in Child and Adolescent Studies from Argosy University. Marline’s academic journey continued, culminating in a Master of Arts in Human Services from the University of Arizona Global Campus.
On her return to Colorado, Marline now serves as a Behavioral Health Consultant at CPCD. Here, she blends her passion for child development with therapeutic expertise.
Marline’s professional zeal is fueled by witnessing the transformative power of play therapy. As children explore their voices through laughter, curiosity, and growth, she finds immense joy from unraveling their behaviors through play and role modeling.
A fun hobby of Marline’s is growing plants and mixing them up to see if they can grow together, and she has quite the collection so far! She also finds relaxation in a variety of different music styles and novels, and enjoys being out in nature…surrounding herself in the silence, peacefulness, and beauty that it offers. Marline prioritizes spending time with loved ones and focuses on maintaining those strong family connections.
