I received my Bachelor of Social Work and Bachelor of Spanish Language and Culture from Southern Illinois University Carbondale in 2016, and a Master of Advanced Clinical Social Work in 2017 from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. My experience is with pediatric mental health in a primary care clinic setting – I work closely with mind-body connections and I acknowledge the undeniable link between our mental health and our physical wellbeing. I am an Advanced Generalist Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I use principles of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to work together and find solutions – using a strength-based approach and empowering the client to be the expert on their own lives. As a social worker, I also work from a systems perspective and I embrace that working with children involves working with families, schools, medical providers, and other community agencies.

I firmly believe that you cannot pour from an empty vessel and that self-care is not selfish! To fill my own cup, I spend time lifting weights, camping in the summer and snowboarding in the winter, and surrounding myself with the love and good energy of my friends and family.
