Beatriz Ramirez received a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts with a Minor in Psychology from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. She also received a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology with a concentration in Art Therapy from Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado.

Beatriz Ramirez is a Spanish Bilingual licensed professional counselor, and a registered art therapist with over 14 years of experience providing both individual and group therapy to children, adolescents, adults, and families with a variety of mental health issues and behavioral concerns. Beatriz Ramirez also has extensive experience working with a diverse and multicultural population.

Beatriz Ramirez currently works only with children ages 5-11 years old who are struggling with ADHD, Anxiety, Anger, Frustration, Sadness, Low self-esteem, Grief and loss, and Family conflict.

Therapy approaches she uses include Art Therapy, Play Therapy, Child-Center Modalities, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focus, Strength-Based, and Mindfulness Techniques.

Beatriz’s focus is to work with clients to help them discover their own inner strengths, to live in the present moment and to develop the confidence needed to take control of their lives. She believes we can all change through personal introspection and defining clear goals to produce the results we desire.

Beatriz Ramirez is an active member of The American Art Therapy Association. In her spare time, she enjoys making art, gardening, traveling with her husband, and spending quality time with her cat Midnight. Beatriz and her husband moved back to Colorado from Boynton Beach, Florida, and now they live in Severance, Colorado.
