Ibarra is a counseling intern currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Northern Colorado. She works with children, adolescents, and families, supporting clients as they navigate emotional, behavioral, and relational challenges in a developmentally responsive way.
She has past experience working with children in a school setting, specifically with children and adolescents who are struggling with ADHD, autism, anxiety, depression, and substance use.
Ibarra’s approach to counseling is collaborative and client-centered, emphasizing the importance of meeting clients where they are and working with families. She strives to create a safe, supportive, and engaging therapeutic environment where clients and families feel heard, respected, and empowered. Ibarra uses techniques from play therapy and art therapy to help clients express themselves, build insight, and practice coping skills.
