Jennifer is a compassionate and skilled Licensed Professional Counselor at our Children’s Therapy Clinic, with a special focus on serving children, adolescents, and families. Her extensive professional background spans both clinical and educational settings, where she has had the privilege of providing valuable support and guidance to individuals and families facing various challenges.
Jennifer’s commitment to her work is deeply rooted in helping individuals and families navigate the complex terrain of grief, loss, life changes, attachment, depression, anxiety, traumatic events, emotional conflicts, behavioral concerns, and school-related issues. With over 14 years of experience, she brings a wealth of knowledge to her practice.
In her role, Jennifer employs a versatile array of therapy techniques, including strengths-based approaches, Solution-focused therapy, Cognitive Behavioral therapy, as well as play and art therapies. These diverse methods allow her to tailor her approach to each client’s unique needs and preferences, fostering a dynamic and effective therapeutic process.
Jennifer places a strong emphasis on the importance of collaborating with parents and building caring and trusting relationships with all family members. Her belief in the value of a united and supportive family unit underpins her therapeutic philosophy.
When requested, Jennifer also offers faith-based services, accommodating clients who seek therapy within a spiritual context.
Jennifer’s academic foundation includes a Masters of Science degree in Clinical Psychology, earned from Emporia State University in Kansas. Her personal journey led her to Colorado in 2000, where she has since made her home with her husband and two children. As a dedicated stay-at-home mother for 11 years, Jennifer cherishes family time and embraces the beauty of the mountains.
Now that both of her children are of school age, Jennifer is excited to return to her role as a therapist, providing essential support to children, adolescents, and their families at our clinic.
Jennifer’s passion for helping children, adolescents, and families, combined with her extensive experience and therapeutic expertise, make her an invaluable asset to our KidStuff Counseling team.
