Hey y’all!

My name is Maya, I use she/her pronouns and I hope you will feel comfortable to share yours with me so that I may honor you.

I have recently graduated with my Master’s Degree in Marriage, Couples, & Family Therapy with an emphasis in Early Childhood & Adolescent Development from the University of Northern Colorado. I have a deep passion for Infant & Early Childhood Mental Health which centers around the child’s adult caregivers experience(s) and how they are showing up with the child(ren).

I am a relationally focused, Acceptance and Commitment oriented Couples & Family therapist devoted to helping systems learn how to build and/or strengthen their relationships with others through playful interactions. I have significant training in Child Center Play Therapy as well as Perinatal Mental Health.

It is my belief that you are an expert in your (or your child’s) life. It is my duty to highlight one’s strengths and empower them towards their values. I am willing to mindfully challenge the culturally specific social stories that may be turning one away from their values.

Outside of the “office” I am creative, spirited, lover of books. Music is very grounding for me and brings great joy.
